Due to COVID-19, the Office of the Registrar at Rhode Island School of Design is currently operating remotely. This operational change affects our response time in processing Apostille requests. Temporarily, Apostille requests will be processed and delivered to Rhode Island Secretary of State on Tuesdays and Thursdays only each week. Please reach out to the Registrar’s Office at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
Some countries outside of the United States require an “Apostille” on certain documents, usually diplomas or transcripts. The Registrar’s Office will take care of that service for you upon request and upon payment of the nominal fee.
Submit the following form to the Registrar’s Office to request an Apostille:
Please be advised that we can only process the Apostille with the Office of the Rhode Island Secretary of State once the form along with accompanying documents and payment is received.
Please allow 7 to 10 days for processing
According to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA, 1974 as amended), students are afforded certain rights with respect to their educational records. Grades are an educational record.
Through WebAdvisor, students have electronic access to their grades at all times, unless their financial account is past due. Parents can see the grades for their student by asking the student for their username and password.
If the student has filed the Student Information Release Form, then the parent may call to discuss grades with a school official or they may contact the Registrar’s Office for a paper copy of the term grades at the end of a given semester.
